Additions to Timeline:

November, 1862- The Union League in Philidelphia was founded, and quickly spread to numerous other Union states.  The Union League raised money for Union soldiers and voluntary effort by non-soldiers, but it mainly published mass amounts of literature and propaganda supporting the Union cause.
