Other Great Websites
http://www.archives.gov/education/lessons/blacks-civil-war/ -This website has great information about the role that blacks played, specifically in the armies. It is a National Archives site intended to teach via documents so it tends to be a lot of the nitty-gritty information, but I found it to be very straightforward and useful. It is the ideal website to answer my third question!!
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/aia/part4/4p2967.html -This website has a lot of interesting information pertaining to my third question as well. It is a PBS site and it restates a lot of information from the National Archives one, adding in more of the details toward the end of the war.
http://www.greatamericanhistory.net/causes.htm -This website isn't as perfect as its title "Causes of the Civil War: A Balanced Answer" suggests. It does, however, have a couple of good points, especially in the conclusion.
http://www.us-civilwar.com/ -Once again, a site that isn't as promising as it sounded. The best information is in the introduction when the author(s) challenge the validity of calling it a Civil War.
http://www.socialstudieshelp.com/Lesson_35_Notes.htm -Very helpful, straightforward, and simple. It has a little bit of background information and then two charts depicting the advantages and disadvantages of each side! The perfect site to help answer my second question.
http://www.digitalhistory.uh.edu/modules/civwar/historiography.cfm -This is a very well written essay that ironically covers two of my questions in considerable depth and touches on the third. It is as if I worked from the website to develop my questions!
